Since March 1, 1940, Owen Sound's CFOS has been broadcasting to listeners in Grey and Bruce counties and beyond. The impact of quick, shared access to information about fires, politics, sports and entertainment as well as the activities and people who make up this community through CFOS was, and continues to be, significant. Sound Success tells the story of the remarkable broadcasters who brought the station into existence; kept it going in spite of challenges from TV, the internet and other innovations; and continue to provide listeners with "the oldies you want and the info you need."

In addition, contributions from ten current and former broadcasters reveal the joys and sorrows of what goes on behind the CFOS microphones. From covering the meteoric rise of the Owen Sound Attack in 2011 to local tragedies, the broadcasters' memories provide the scoop on how the stories get to the air. Many of their practical jokes are also revealed... who knew the radio station was filled with such pranksters? And ghosts?

Sound Success: 75 Years of CFOS is the story of one of the oldest privately owned AM radio stations in Canada. It chronicles the evolution of a tenacious local radio station which changed the way people learned about each other and what was going on around them.
