Growing up Gay* in Bruce and Grey: Reflections by Current and Former Residents

This book contains the brave stories of 25 people from Bruce and Grey Counties. They reveal the challenges and triumphs of being gay* in a rural community with powerful candour. From knowing they were different without context or words to express the difference, to having no one to talk to to who might understand or help, these stories reveal the pain, isolation and sorrows of their experiences. They also tell of the love and support they received from family, friends and teachers.
